Why is the max distance lower than the advertised max distance?

The max distance is measured under optimal conditions: no wind, 79°F temperature, fully charged battery, riding at a constant speed of 14 mph (23 km/h) on a flat surface with a load of 165 pounds (75 kg). The real battery life may vary due to factors such as load, humidity, wind speed, and riding habits.

I can't charge my scooter. What's the problem?

If the scooter is charging, the LED on the charger will show a red color. If the scooter is fully charged, the LED will turn green. To check if the charger is defective, plug it into the socket without connecting it to the scooter. If the LED is not on or not red, the charger may be defective. Contact us at support@hiboy.com for further support.

When I press on the throttle, why is the scooter not moving?

Please note our scooter is set with a kick-off start function for safety reasons. This means you need to stand on the scooter, kick it off to reach a minimum speed of 3.1 mph, then when you press down the throttle, the scooter will accelerate further. You can also refer to the user manual for details on the kick-off start operation.

Why can't the speed reach 23 mph?

Please ensure you have double-clicked the power button to set the speed mode to Sport mode. We have three speed modes: Eco mode (energy-saving), D mode (Standard), and S mode (Sport). If the speed mode is set to red S mode and the speed still can't reach 23 mph, please check if you have accidentally modified the max speed in the App. Additionally, factors such as battery status, rider weight, and road conditions can influence the maximum speed. With a fully charged battery, within 220 lbs weight, and riding on a flat road, you can reach a speed of 23 mph easily.

fender was broken

my hi boy x 300 delivered two and half week ago. its ride is good. unfortunately, rare tire was flattened. after patching up while inflating the inner tube was blasted, and rare fender was broken. I feel the outer tires are not strong enough. I am in a big confusion what to do next.

Owner operator of Edgewares Customs here, we offer this scooter in the shop and it is a tank, it LOOKS heavy but is deceptively light, it really does feel like an SUV in the way it handles, its has a good top end speed for its size, but id personally love if it accelerated a bit faster, the motor runs pretty smooth, and it handles bumps on the road like a tank. the removeable battery option should be a standard feature for ALL scooters. it makes swapping out and charging a breeze, especially if your using it for delivery work. for those looking for UL certified scooter, that doesn't brake any local laws by being too fast or heavy, this is a good choice, especially if your on the bigger size. people 6ft and taller will feel really comfortable on this scooter.

I Love It

It's been a month since the HiBoy box arrived. The assembly was fairly easy. One important part left out of the instructions was connecting the display to the scooter through the handlebars and stem. But figured that out when the scooter wouldn't power up. I took it out and rode it immediately and got even more excited about this purchase. This is my second scooter and it's definitely an upgrade from the Segway Ninebot Kick. You immediately feel the smoother ride with front suspension. The meaty tires grip the ground at high speeds even on turns. I ve probably leaned either direction 45 degrees or so, traveling at 23 mph and the tires stick, even when there is loose gravel or dust. The braking system is just as responsive and have learned not squeeze to tight or fast else you will come to a skidding stop. I live by the beach and ride usually on weekends, but with this scooter I find myself using it during the week to run small errands around town, getting a bite to eat, or just getting my favorite drink, a Slurpee, on these hot summer days utilizing the drink holder on the stem. Though it does grip your drink tightly, you should drive gingerly as higher speeds over bumps and crosswalk curbs, will toss your Slurpee on the asphalt. The one major flaw on the scooter is the securing mechanism when folding the scooter. It doesn't lock and easily slides off the hook, which could suck when liftig a 50 lb scooter. It's hasn't slipped on me yet but I've been extra mindful taking care when I lift. Definitely need to purchase an extra battery back , I think this would extend my range even further so I could try longer excursions. Hope this helped. Thank you Hi Boy.

Big-Wheel Bigger Adventures

The Big Wheel allows for a bigger taller man to be able to maneuver through rougher terrain higher hills without stopping in your tracks. Good solid build and power to carry. Great purchase! One small flaw is the locking mechanism could be better . Not very secure, and if you fail to use it and fold it down without the plastic then the face of the display gets scratched. We bought two and scratched both by doing this. We were securing them trying make as small as possible for travel and didn’t realize.
