Hiboy VE1 Controller review, throttle delay issue

After a year and 1,000 miles, my stock controller - same as this one - has worked reliably. But I can't believe this stock controller has a 1.25 second throttle response delay. It is so frustrating. This delay can even be a safety issue when, for example, you cannot throttle out of the way of a car in time due to the delay. Any time you let off on the throttle completely, the delay happens at the time you get back on the throttle... starts, corners, etc. And based on my conversation with Hiboy, the delay mechanism is built into the controller. Please, please offer a new controller version one with NO delay.

Jerky throttle delay

As another posted the throttle has some sort of built in delay that makes the scooter borderline unrideable and certainly dangerous. I cannot recommend this scooter to anyone until Hiboy fixes this glaring issue. A throttle, while riding, must be precise so the rider knows when power is to be delivered. On the ve1 pro it is a guessing game when the motor will kick in, even when moving and simply getting back on the throttle. Since I am now stuck with the scooter I suppose my only option is to try to find another controller that does not have this delay nonsense programmed in. Hiboy, if you care about your customer base, fix this issue and send all of us who received this dangerous controller a new controller with NO DANGEROUS DELAY!

Not Impressed

Throttle delay, that is beyond my problem. How about a fully charged battery draining in less then 5 minutes while riding in 3 and 4 gear. Only ridden this bike off and on for what 2 years only in the warm months at that. Now, I can't ride at all because a perfectly brand new scooter, decides it wants to act up again. When I first purchased this scooter, I had a problem with the charger input that is stationary on the scooter frame. Had to replace the entire cord wiring... then and now, I am getting complete battery drain after being fully charged..sucks....
