I have never been more happy about any purchase in my life, this skateboard takes me everywhere. I'm also a big guy, I'm above 6'4" and I weigh about 210 and the skateboard supports it incredibly. The material is very durable, the battery life is outstanding, and it's super smooth, even in rough streets like Los Angeles. I take it anywhere and I have had no issues. The price is also incredible. I normally have balance issues, but the trucks on these are phenomenal. It's a great and easy way to get outside, the weight is great, and it takes you anywhere. The packaging was beautiful, it was secure, well placed, and just looked cool. I had one issue that turned out to be my fault 😂 but even so, the customer service helped me figure it out. The charger is great, and the remote is super easy to figure out and control. Every time I can, I use this, and once I get on, I don't wanna get off. The braking is super good too. When you go down a steep hill, or you just need to slow down, the brakes are a perfect combination responsiveness, and calmness. What I mean by this is that the brakes slow you down, but not too fast and not too slow. This is very handy for clumsy people like me! Finally, the big safety feature on it is great, there's a button on the remote which lets you change the direction of the board, I did this accidentally once, but rather than shooting me back, all it did was slow down gently, without this I would have fallen many times. and great I would recommend this to anyone! Thank You for making an incredible board!
This is my second adventure in low-cost eSk8 after a not so successful first round from a different company. I wasn't expecting much, especially after being burned by round 1, but I'm honestly blown away.
The board came came packaged well with quality (if built to cost) accessories like charger, controller, skate tool, etc. I'm an electronics hobbyist so the first thing I did was to run a gamut of tests on both the charger and the battery pack (which isn't exactly end-user serviceable unless you're okay with separating and reattaching the sealed enclosure).
Both were well in spec compared to their rated outputs in terms of voltage and amperage which was refreshing to see. I'm getting very close to their stated range +/- ~.25-.75mi the handful of times I've felt comfortable running the battery to darn near empty. It would appear they're using new, quality 18650 cells with honest mAh ratings (unlike many cheap cells claiming absurd and impossible mAh ratings).
The ride itself is very smooth once you get the hang of it. The controller throttle is smooth and responsive, but not linear all the way through. It starts out linear until just north of half power where it quickly ramps up to full power.
Not a problem though, just something to feel out the first couple times you ride. You even come to appreciate it IMHO.
The wheels are great, the bearings are quiet and spin effortlessly, the trucks seem to be high quality with appropriate thickness and strength (time will tell), and the deck is great with a perfect balance between stiffness and flexibility and a super grippy surface.
My only recommendation is to double check tightness of the wheel hub motor hex screws, the motor mount screws on the rear truck, and make sure the kingpin bolts are tightened up to your desired stiffness.
After that it's all fun. Easy high recommendation for a low-cost but high-performance board with everything you need and nothing you don't (like app support, lights, screens, butler etc.) to enjoy a full day of putting wheels to pavement and exploring your city!
i recieved the board as a christmas present in december of 2019 going into 2020. at the time i weighed about 220lbs and the board wkept dying at half battery, with no warning at all. i would be going at the top speed and boom all power cuts and not even the breaks would work! never got more than 4.8 miles out of the board riding in the second speed mode and only riding on flat ground. i figured that when i loose weight i would get better battery life. nop! now ima about 190lbs and same isue exept now the baterry says its fully charged but the board barely goes 2MPH amd the breaks dont work at all! customer service too a very long time to help but are now helping me refund the item. i have a friend with the same board and she has no issues with it. guess i just got unlucky.
