Question: Is this a good scooter to purchase for someone that is 6'4?
Answer: Yes, if you're 6'4 and under 220lbs we recommend you to go for it.

Question: Would this work to help climb those hilly roads/side walks in San Francisco?
Answer: It can go up a pretty decent incline but the speed drops dramatically and the battery is used up much quicker. A small hill would be fine, but some of the hills in SF are too much for a scooter. Those hills make it difficult for some cars.

Question: Can you turn off the sidelights? Can you turn them off permanently? Can you use the head and tail lights without the sidelights?
Answer: No, they can’t be turned off if you want the headlight and rear light on as well.

Question: What's the carrying capacity? I need 500lbs.
Answer: The max capacity is 260 lbs. 500 lbs is likely to cause the rear suspension to snap and the front end weld points to fail.

Question: Would this be ridable in winter if there are patches of snow or ice?
Answer: We do not recommend to ride it in rain. Riding on ice wouldn’t be safe. Snow could possibly cause damage.

Good First Impressions

I bought this for work so it gets used every weekday but not too far 3.5 miles round trip, it goes 19/20MPH on good surface / down hill and 9-14MPH uphill depending weight and surface but only between 80-100% battery. It will go 16-18MPH and like 8-12MPH uphill when below 80% battery you can probably extrapolate the rest from there but its only approximate but I think its acceptable as its probably due to protection of the battery. I'm sure you'll get the 40 KM range but you'll be doing the last bit of the journey at just above or at walking pace I don't know the specifics haven't tested. The not sure how effective the regen is but as an abs break its great back break is great too very sharp so be careful with that use the front its not too sharp but if you turn and pull front ebrake too much its sketchy but same with all 2 wheeled things

Tires are good no flats but they could have a tiny bit more tread in the centre of the tires for moist conditions and because they are solid tires the traction is not that of the of pneumatic tires but that is to be expected as well as the ride but if your going at reasonable or high speed you can hop the front over swells in the pavement or just slow down to reduce the impact on the front as that is the most vulnerable part of the frame on any scooter but for my height and weight it feels pretty good looks pretty solid you can see the weld. Dirty secret i dropped down a huge curb by accident didn't see it when i was adjusting the acceleration and break settings I think I left them on max lol so although I landed I was wobbling all over the place was caught off guard and i grabbed the accelerator and the setting maybe made it more sensitive and i accidently pulled it and fell off ha however the point is that this could have very well snapped the frame or done some damage but it did absolutely nothing to it except maybe those pesky screws in the bar so that's a good sign, even after a brutal drop and a little crash its fine I'm not sure how many times you would be able to get away with this and depends on your weight obviously but I weigh like 90KG I got fat in the pandemic okay leave me alone and I don't want to walk that's why I bought the scooter I got gym when I can be bothered :P

As far as I'm aware the ones in Europe and US are made by China but they are checked in Germany and the US and I'm pretty sure Germany did a great job as I have seen not much negative feedback from ones coming from Germany.

However there may be some questions about the ones that come from the US as I did see some negative feedback from people in the US but you can find those yourself(Amazon) but always remember that reviews can be malicious and untrue. I bought direct though from HiBoy because I can and they didn't disappoint with the delivery it was very fast no more than 4 days may have even been like 3 and the price reasonable very impressed so thumbs up for logistics / supply chain guys.

The dual suspension on the back is very good so far it takes the shock from the bumps and humps and improves the ride, especially when you emphasize your weight to the back where the suspension is. I could go on all day but some good engineering except for the loosening of the bar and handle bars but its not that bad and because of the nature of the foldable bar and logistics this engineering challenged is faced by many scooter manufactures and suffer from the same annoyance. However they provided extra screws and all the tools but if your care to not round the screw or the Alan key you should be alright but if you use it heavily you may need to check it once a week but its the same as a car everyone is supposed to check it every day but most don't and company here and definitely worth the money so far but the longevity I don't know yet.

They had the brains to put the charging port on the bar away from the floor behind the bar with a seal better protected from moist conditions.

I was hopeful for the App and it is kind of good. Simple, easy to use, reliable, looks great the acceleration and breaking settings don't seem to do too much but I haven't fully experimented with it yet parking break is a nice touch it locks the wheels and beeps if someone try's to start it but wont start. My phone updated the firmware no problem so I think we have to give a massive thumbs up for the tech guys on this one but...

Will they have replacement batteries when the time comes just don't know they didn't when I bought the scooter. Will I have to buy another that sucks?. If it breaks down how good will their customer service be to fix it or will it join the four broken scooters my step brother and friend has littered about the house this is my first one, we shall see but very impressed so far.

Battery is long lasting, keeps speed up hill

I weight 230 pounds and the scooter is long lasting and keeps the 19mph speed the whole time I’m coasting through the neighborhood. The seat is easy to install or take down.

I had the s2 (great scooter) upgraded to the s2 Pro and again great scooter.. I had a couple issues with both scooters in the s2 but with the help from the hiboy support emails I've managed to sort problems out...... Hiboy is a great brand with great support, I mean yes you may wait a day or 2 to get an email back but that's kind of standard with anything but hiboy have seemed to go out their way to help me. .
